MISSION
Special Education Lawyer Kristin Totten has a mission to protect and enforce the rights of children with disabilities and parents of such children. She does this by ensuring that all children with disabilities that she serves receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE) that emphasizes special education and related services designed to meet the child's unique needs and prepare him/her for further education, employment, and independent living.

In her experience as a Civil Rights Attorney, Kristin Totten has strived to raise awareness of the laws Congress has enacted to protect the vulnerable and marginalized and to ensure that they are adhered to. Each child has the potential to flourish, and the educational system is to respond to the unique needs of a child with a disability and assist them in their capacity to do so.
